FoodSource has arrangements with food wholesalers and distribution companies in California and nationwide, and their expertise is in negotiating the lowest possible costs for groceries, paper goods and cleaning supplies offered by these vendors.  Based on the work they’ve done with other California Head Start Association members, they estimate savings for yours to be 10-35% over what you are paying with your current plan.  This program is free for California Head Starts.  Once you sign up, they will set up your online ordering system and assist you with menus, product selection, inventory control, order guides, and nutrition info.
