Linda Carson, Ed D - Opening
Ware Distinguished Professor Emerita, West Virginia University


Dr. Carson has many years of teaching experience and expertise in childhood motor development, earning recognition for her innovative approach to childhood well being. She was on the training team for the award winning obesity initiative, I Am Moving I Am Learning, expanded nationally by the Office of Head Start. The signature feature of Professor Carson’s work is a character named Choosy who promotes healthy decision making by children and grownups.

America Bracho - Closing

Dr. Bracho is the founder of Latino Health Access and has previously served as the Director for the AIDS projects for Latino Family Services in Detroit and as a trainer and consultant for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Council of La Raza, University of Michigan, UCLA, John Hopkins University and the National Conference of Community Outreach Workers.
