Dr. Gerald Newmark, Founder of the Children's Project -- Newmark's most recent book, How to Raise Emotionally Healthy Children, has sold over 330,000 copies. He was supported by the Ford Foundation in creating a model school in Los Angeles and has experience in every level of education. He is currently working with schools, districts and communities on initiatives to create emotionally healthy environments. His background also includes experience in civil rights and services for addiction treatment.

Ms. Maben is the Director of the Child Development Division at the California Department of Education. She has previously served as Chief of Staff for the Office of the Secretary of Education, as Strategic Advisory to former Superintendent Delaine Eastin, and as a consultant to the California State Assembly Education Committee. She also serves as a member of the Rocklin Unified School District Board. She worked for 10 years at the Roseville Community Pre-School, where she served as business manager, teacher, and parent.

Dr. Intisar Shareef is the Early Childhood Education Department chair at Contra Costa College - As an engaging a popular presenter, Shareef approaches education as a transformative process, addressing personal beliefs, biases and stereotypes. She is a professor of early childhood education, has a special expertise on violence and trauma issues for young children, and co-authored Diversity in Early Care and Education and Practice in Building Bridges.
