CPEEP Education Activities
The California Preschool Energy Efficiency Program created these education materials to introduce children and their families to the importance of energy conservation in the classroom and at home. The activities were designed to have fun and reinforce the importance of energy conservation.
The California Preschool Energy Efficiency Program (CPEEP) is a free opportunity for preschools in the Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric service areas to upgrade their facilities and save money on energy bills.
CPEEP is a collaboration of four organizationsthe California Department of Education (CDE), the California Head Start Association, the Low Income Investment Fund, and Willdan Energy Solutions.
This multi million dollar program will replace older, energy-intensive lighting at eligible child care centers with energyefficient upgrades that help reduce operating costs.
Any state-contracted, Head Start, public or private preschool operating in the utility service area of Southern California Edison or Pacific Gas & Electric Company is eligible.
